This was a cool little game! Liked the premise and feeling of it. Also, felt well rounded and full with the addition of a tutorial and menu system. Nice one!
With proper polish and more detail, I could see this becoming a proper game.
Critical points:
- Would have liked if left shift was also sprint. I played with arrow keys and space, to right shift was a bit awkward. Eventually moved to controller, which made it way easier. Actually managed to finish a platformer for once!
- Couldn't control character mid air, which would have been cool.
- Would make stages a bit longer, or if you want to take the smaller room approach, I would let the song rather play continuously than restart at each room. So that the feeling of momentum is kept going. When the song starts, it really made me feel that I wanted to jump straight into the action, would milk that considerably more :)
Thanks for your really detailed feedback. It really helps and I will keep your suggestions in mind for an updated build. The smaller stages was actually a product of the time constraints. I had really long stages planned but had finished up everything and only had 3 hours left to do the levels. The mechanics, tutorial, menus and door linkage is what I focused on for the first 24 hours of the jam and then at the very end I started working on the levels. Great learning experience overall.

- The game is too big in download size.
